THE PLANT

Aloe vera is a member of the lily family and grows in regions with extremely hot summers with often no rain for months, e.g. Cuba, Mexico, Brazil, Africa. For the plant to survive, it stores water in its leaves. In the traditional cultivation areas around the world, Aloe vera has been considered an “all-rounder” for internal and external applications – especially for cosmetic and medical therapy – for many centuries.

CULTIVATION & PRODUCTION

Aloe vera is cultivated on huge fields embedded in a natural environment. LR purchases the Aloe vera leaf gel only from a large highland plantation in Mexico that participates in local social projects. The plants are cultivated using traditional methods without artificial fertilizers or pesticides.

CULTIVATION

For our Aloe vera products, LR only uses high-quality raw material. Cultivation and harvest – exclusively on LR plantations in the traditional country of origin Mexico – are subject to continuous quality controls strictly monitored by us. In order to ensure maximum concentration of the active ingredients, we only harvest the outer leaves of adult Aloe vera plants. These are processed immediately to preserve the delicate ingredients..
